Cozy Candle: Product Review (Fall Edition)

I am currently an affiliate for Cozy Candle so what better way to market the products by doing a product review.

Before I talk about the product, tell me discuss the company itself.

Cozy Candle originated Cleveland, Ohio, where the founder, B. Word Productions hand poured 100% soy wax candles during his junior year of Cleveland State University. Now the company now resides in Dallas, Texas.

What are in products, avoid harmful chemicals? Don’t worry, Cozy Candles got you.

So recently, I got the fall edition samples and I thought what better way to show my love of this collection but share the names of the candle and what each of them smell like.

The first one in the collection is Butter Pecan Waffles. Now you can drool for this one, I didn’t and almost ate the candle wax and no, I am not kidding. update: I ate the candle wax. Its amazing. Its taste as much as it smells like butter pecan waffles. Don’t judge me. XD

The second one is Peppermint. Sure, peppermint. Why would they put in a fall collection? Don’t be a spoil sport, will ya? Its taste like peppermint, yes, I am currently tasting candles wax now.

The third one is Vanilla Sugar Cookie. This is one is amazing. I may or may have not almost eaten the whole candle wax.

The fourth one is Fall Leaves. Its reminds me of apple pie, candy corn, apple cider, and fall. Its probably one of my favorites of the collection.

The fifth one is White Woods. Its basically all the scents you get when you are deep in the woods. mahogany, red woods and black cypress and back notes of musk, amber wood, velvet moss and leather. Its my second favorite one. Its wonderful in honesty.

The sixth one is Snickerdoodle. Another cookie scent, please we need another one. Yes, yes, we do. I don’t eat it, I don’t recommend it. Its strong. Strong like snickerdoodle but its smells delicious.

The seventh one is Creme Brulee. Its smells just like one. Caramelized vanilla. I didn’t taste no. It was too good for that.

The eighth and last one of the collection is Fall Sulaf. If you are craving a pumpkin pie but not wanting to make one. Just buy this one. Its smells like it. It taste like it too.

You guys should honestly go check out the collection and buy some.

The prices for the candles:

Sample: $1.98

COZY melt: $5.98

4oz – $5.98

8oz- $11.98

16oz- $22.98

Check out Cozy Candles and let me know which scent they should make next.

Downton Abbey Series Review

All Spoilers are revealed. If you love Downton Abbey, leave now. This is dislike rant. A “hate” of this TV show. This is my opinions so you can dislike what I say but please don’t hate me in the comment section below. Lets begin..

Downton Abbey:

Downton Abbey is a historical period drama television series set in England in the early 20th century, created by Julian Fellowes and co-produced by Carnival Films and Masterpiece. (Wikipedia summary, not mine)

To describe the main characters in one word.

Robert Crawley: Pig, slut Reason: when his wife was sick, he decides to sleep with the lady’s maid, yikes.

Cora Crawley: Flirt

Lady Mary: Slut, Slut, and slut…. Sleeping with the foreign guy, he dies.. and then she is part of a scandal.. Sleeps with a man for a week and then refuses to marry him.. And somehow doesn’t sleep with the two people she marries… ok then…

Lady Edith: Adulterer and Blackmailer, She is a slut but didn’t choose to sleep with every guy she liked which was rare. First guy she sleeps with, gets pregnant, has a child and goes crazy and instead of telling her parents, she hides for the longest time only for the father found out last…

Lady Sybil: A “rebel”.. aka she married a man lower than her class… my favorite..

Footman Thomas: Gay, and no one is wants to tell the law but everyone knows he is gay.. ok then.

Dislikes:

Sex scenes in detail, details mentioned above, maids hooking up with guests of their boss,

Sodomites: Thomas, footman, Philip, Duke of Crowborough

Everybody gets away. Edith gets her happy ending even when she tells the truth about her daughter

Love: Feud between Isobel and Violet

Alfred…

OTP John and Anna Bates

Lady Rose’s behavior

Rating the show: 2.9 star… I am not that heartless

I would recommend for those who would like to watch it.. be 18+.. The first episode surprised me when I first watched it.. If you enjoy BBC or Poldark and can surpass the inappropriateness of the show, you will probably like it.

What show or movie, should I review next?

In the comments below, let me what your review is on this show…

Blood Moon Redemption Book review

Disclaimers: I relieved a free copy from Ambassador International. This is my honest opinion, I am not giving paid to give a lying book review*

This is the first book, I am reviewing with Ambassador International. When they gave me a choice of several books. I knew I wanted to get this book. The only Jewish culture I ever read was in the Bible and I was greatly intrigued when I saw blood moons and legend of the tassel. It was mysterious and love that I was going get this book.

The genre of this book: thriller/mystery thriller, (So this actually first book I read in this genre which is really crazy), fantasy/supernatural, contemporary, Christian fiction

The romance in this book was not bad minus the facts mentioning of staying the night with a man who is not married to each other.

Likes: I liked how each chapter, let you know at the head of time where the scene is taking place. You will understand when you read it. There is a scene when a waitress asks if they know Jesus. The main character is Jewish and her “friend” is Muslim. Its reaction is hilarious. I couldn’t stop laughing. I loved how the author gave out the backstory of the tassel with ruining the story itself.

Dislikes: I hated Omar. He was {spoilers removed}. Bad. I really wanted to choke him and smack Tassie in the face several times but she was {spoilers removed.
Although the book is fantasy/supernatural. I didn’t like Hector since he was a {spoiler removed}. I really didn’t like the scene where Omar sees{spoiler removed}. Hmm. No.
One more thing, I didn’t understand something. The story is complete. The synopsis is answered but some reason they are almost like four chapters left. I understand you want readers to understand what is happening to the characters. It felt weird but maybe it fits.

Rating: 4/5, 7/10

The Forbidden Wish: Book Review

Title: The Forbidden Wish

Genre: Fantasy, Retelling, Young Adult

Author: Jessica Khoury

Language: mention of cursing

Romance: kissing of the neck, kissing of lips, forced kiss

Things I disliked:

It states “perfect lips”. What is that?

It’s mentioned that the main character has two days to get her freedom but two days past and you think she would lose her freedom. Right? I am really confused.

I don’t if it is just me but the ending felt rushed. Or if they was too much background in it that I got lost in the climax.

So this book was a retelling of Aladdin and so there is a typical Disney ending. With flowers in the air. Not a fan. Disney lover will love it. Not a fan of it.

Things I liked:

So I was interested in this book because of the cover and retelling of Aladdin. I liked how the author kept the original setting. I liked how the POV was not based around Aladdin which was a plus.

Rating: 3.7 stars

Don’t Hate Authors Part One

Sunny, why this? Because I am tired of people believing that an author stole a famous author/movie idea. Like the Eragon by Christoper Paolini debate. Did he copy and paste The Lord of the Rings? No. So he didn’t steal it. He was inspired by Tolkien. Like I am inspired by Tolkien, doesn’t mean I am going to copy and paste it. Good grief, people.

Mini Review of Eragon: Epic story because my favorite mystical creature is the dragon is in it. Take How to Train your Dragon, Dragonheart, and Tolkien and combined them together. I don’t understand the hate towards this book. Yes, the author uses elves and dwarves. I just don’t understand it all. It’s not like he completely copied and pasted the story and just changed some of the locations’ names and characters’. You can see the elements of Tolkien in it but some people. Other than that, I plan on reading the next book in the series.

Writers get inspired by stories but they have a unique writing process. Like right now, I noticed one of my stories may have been inspired by The Clerk’s Prologue/Tale in The Canterbury Tales. I am not copying the characters/plot. No. If anything, writers are writing clichés. Don’t point out the famous author’s names in your review, if you are going to hate on a writer.

Writers work on their projects for days, months, and years maybe. And next thing you know, you hate on their book. Sure, you can point out the true audience for that certain book such as rating the violence, romance, or etc. I do that. I am not hating the author. I am just pointing things for when a younger reader decides to read it. Aka safety warnings, nothing more. Nothing else.

Next time, you review a book. Rate the violence, language, and romance. Not rate how an author copied a popular idea. Please. Less hate. Readers are to support authors not to create graves for them.

Thanks for reading!

Not by Sight: Book Review

Title: Not by Sight

Synopsis: With Britain caught up in WWI, Jack Benningham, heir to the Earl of Stonebrooke, has declared himself a conscientious objector. Instead, he secretly works for the Crown by tracking down German spies on British soil, his wild reputation and society status serving as a foolproof cover.

Blinded by patriotism and concern for her brother on the front lines, wealthy suffragette Grace Mabry will do whatever it takes to assist her country’s cause. When she sneaks into a posh London masquerade ball to hand out white feathers of cowardice, she never imagines the chain of events she’ll set off when she hands a feather to Jack.

And neither of them could anticipate the extent of the danger and betrayal that follows them–or the faith they’ll need to maintain hope.

Genre: Romance, Historial, Christian Fiction

Language: mentioning of cursing

Romance:

-kiss of the hand, a kiss between two people, mentioning of a prostitute

Rating: Five Stars

I was actually surprised by this book. I am not usually one who enjoys reading romance. Especially if it isn’t Amish romance, the only Christian romance I read. *hides in the corner* The book itself reminded me of Jane Eyre with a twist of the Phantom of Opera.

This book is the first book that surprised me with its plot twist. I promise I wouldn’t spoil it. This book is on my favorite reads of 2018.

See ya soon.

All the Way: Book Review

I have returned. Please enjoy this post and follow if you aren’t already. Like and comment down below what book I should review next.

Title: All the Way

Author: Loriane Haynes

Genre: Christian Fiction

Synopsis: Families were the center of lives during the Great Depression. Life choices changed the safety and security of Kathryn’s teenage world and tainted her view of the world the rest of her life. The shame that wrapped itself around her was the result of condemnation from Christians who felt compelled to rid itself of a good family whose only sin was love.

Setting: Covington, GA; Griffin, GA; Atlanta, GA

Language: one incident

Romance:

two times mention of two people kissing

teen mother

Theme: Trust, Family, Guidance

Overall it was an interesting read, the book itself had the same writing style as A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith. I rated this book a four. You should read this book and spread it around. The author is self- published author. So share everyone and give out the bookish love.
